He has been the first one to vinify Barolo from a single vineyard (Barolo Marcenasco 1965), and the first one who made the map of the most important historical vineyards (Carta del Barolo, 1970), Renato Ratti is considered the great visionary of Barolo.
Visits to the winery
From Villa Pattono we organize exclusive visits to the Ratti Winery in La Morra, which is about half an hour from the Relais. The Ratti Winery is located in the heart of the Barolo area, right next to the ancient Annunziata Abbey, a precious jewel of the 15th century.
From Monferrato to the Langhe
The journey that from Costigliole d’Asti leads to La Morra Winery is an extraordinary opportunity to better understand and learn this territory in its details. You will move from the well-tended vineyards of Barbera d’Asti to the precious and orderly ones of Barolo.
